Curing Control for Concrete Pavers Production-QGM brick machine

Concrete pavers are widely applied in public places, such as sidewalks, squares, gardens, etc. They are a good pavement material. However, if you do not pay attention to raw materials, concrete ratio and production techniques during the production process, it will easily affect the main quality and technical indicators such as paver strength, wear resistance, water absorption, frost resistance, etc., resulting in poor quality of pavers and then affecting the actual engineering applications. Therefore, the production quality control of pavers must follow up below points:

1. Production process control

Pavers moulding should follow below principles:

1) Due to the different mixing densities of the raw materials, it is advisable to adopt low water-cement ratio pressure vibration forming process, to ensure the product uniform and compact. The actual measurement of wet paver weight is the principle of compaction. The heavier paver is, the denser it is.

2) Control the water-cement ratio: The surface layer is based on the principle of micro-cement slurry, but does not stick to shoes plate. The bottom layer is based on the principle of cement slurry on the side, but no swelling;

3) Color control: Based on the principle that 1.5 meters away from pavers, no color difference;

4) Thickness: Paver thickness should be controlled at 58~60mm and top layer thickness is more than 8mm.

2. Strictly control of molding and dimension tolerance

Strictly control the mixing sequence and mixing time. During the molding process, it is necessary to prevent the occurrence of concrete delamination, floating, agglomeration and segregation, so as to ensure the strength and appearance size of pavers. Two sets of standard moulds are selected. One mould is used until the size deviation reaches 0.5mm, and then the other one is replaced until the size deviation reaches 0.5mm; two sets moulds are regularly exchanged in turns.

3. Low temperature curing

The strength and decoration of concrete pavers are restricted by the maintenance conditions. As result, the maintenance method must be selected according to local conditions. In order to facilitate the cement hydration, the curing chamber temperature should not exceed 45 ℃ for curing, and the principle should be when the chamber exit temperature is close to 40 ~ 50 ℃. At the same time, in order to ensure the decorative properties of concrete pavers, it is advisable to use low temperature curing or natural curing in a curing chamber, instead of watering on wall bricks often.
