Recently, QGM shipped the QT10 automatic production line for client in Windhoek, Namibia. With 20 years experience in Construction, this client is the well-know Construction Company in Namibia. Their company builds lots of Government project and real estate project in Namibia. Because of the booming market of concrete block and project requirement, the customer want to start their own block making project in Namibia.Then the Chairman together with their engineer team to visit China for block making machine in April and they get in touch with QGM in the Canton Fair.

The customer mentioned that they know QGM for a long time because they saw too much of QGM in the Namibia. And they are impressed by the excellent performance and high-quality of QGM machine. So he decided to visit China and want to have contact with QGM. Our engineers and oversea sales spend two days with customer’s engineer team, answered the questions from their engineer team and provided the special designed proposal and production line for the customer. Because the tight schedule, the customer also invites our regional manager who just been Namibia to visit his company and factory site. After the meeting, the customer transfers the deposit to our company at that time.

Right now, the plant from QGM has been shipp Just little while ago, we had received a heart-stirring news from Kenya office, that the T10 European standard block machine we supplied to Kenya biggest infrastructure construction project, Mombasa-Nairobi Standard Gauge Railway, had finished machine installation and operation training. More importantly, the finished concrete paving blocks had passed 50MPA pressure testing. This project expands QGM’s reputation in African infrastructure construction, and strengthens QGM resplendence.
Chinese Company Building Kenya Biggest Infrastructure Construction Project since 1963
The Mombasa - Nairobi Standard Gauge Railway is the biggest infrastructure construction project in Kenya since 1963’s independence, 480km in length & total project amount is 3.8 billion US Dollars. The railway is constructed by Chinese Road and Bridge Corporation (CRBC) & Export-Import Bank of China supplies 90% loan to this project. After the project finished, it will help to shorten the Mombasa Port-Nairobi’s travel time from more than 10 hours to only 4 hours, greatly improves the East African railway net, increases the transportation capacity & push forward the integrated construction.
Section No.5 of CRBC is responsible for expanding the Nairobi Inland Container Depot (ICD), which is one of the most important parts with strict design requirement, especially the interlocking pavers for container storage should have at least 50MPA density, a quite big challenge.
European Standard T10 Block Machine Participates in Construction Project
After invested the local block market, CRBC is pleased to learned that QGM block machines occupy a high percentage in East African market & Kenya biggest block factory, Bamburi Cement Ltd, has three sets of QGM block machines, working well since 2008. Meanwhile, two QGM European standard T10 block machines had involved in Mombasa Port’s extension construction in 2013, which was constructed by a Japanese company. As a result, CRBC contacted our Kenyan sales manager immediately, informed him of project situation, and emphasized the 50MPA block density requirement.
According to the project volume and density requirement, our sales manager recommended the latest T10 block making machine, which is a European standard high specification machine, adopts Germany technology, manufactured in QGM China. The main components are famous international brands, such as SIEMENS control system, SEW motor, Italian VTOZ hydraulic system, Germany Turk sensors & Japanese NSK bearing, which can guarantee machine’s stable & efficient performance. More important point is dynamic and static vibration system, which greatly increase vibration force and improve the block density, is the guarantee to a high quality concrete product.
It only took 1.5 month to finish the whole machine installation & operation training, can produce 1000m²paving blocks per day. According to the laboratory test, after just 7 days’ curing, the paving blocks that made by T10 block machine already reached 50MPA requirement.
